HSE Officer (Site-Based)

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements on site
• Conduct daily site inspections and identify unsafe conditions and behaviors
• Ensure compliance with project HSE procedures, method statements, and risk assessments
• Support the implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) system
• Conduct toolbox talks and assist in site inductions
• Monitor subcontractor HSE performance and report non-compliance
• Participate in incident reporting and investigation
• Maintain HSE records and documentation
• Support emergency response activities when required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
• 2–5 years of relevant HSE experience (construction project experience preferred)
• Basic knowledge of HSE regulations and practices
• Good communication skills in English (local language is an advantage)
• Ability to work on-site and in a dynamic construction environment
• Preferred Qualifications: NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification; Experience in EPC projects or large-scale construction projects; Familiarity with PTW system and risk assessment processes
• Physically fit and able to work in site conditions
• Team-oriented with proactive attitude
• Willing to work extended hours if required

Language Requirements

• Good communication skills in English (local language is an advantage)
