Job Description

The Pipefitter is a specialist whose work covers both plumbing and large-scale engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• System installation: Assembling water, gas, sewage, heating, or petrochemical pipelines according to the project.
• Joining work: Preparing and joining pipes using flanges, threads, or welding.
• Measuring and cutting: Cutting pipes to the required length, cleaning the ends, and preparing them for installation.
• Insulation and sealing: Checking pipes for leaks, installing sealing materials (gaskets), and applying insulation layers when needed.
• Support installation: Mounting fixing supports (brackets) to walls or floors to keep the pipeline stable.
• Testing: Testing the installed system under pressure (hydraulic tests) and eliminating leaks.
• Reading schematics: Understanding engineering drawings and process schematics to determine the pipe route.
• These specialists mainly work in factories, construction sites, boiler houses, and the oil and gas sector.
