Loader/Rigger

Job Description

The Loader is a worker engaged in the transport, unloading, and placement of various goods, materials, and cargo.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading: Unloading goods from vehicles (trucks, wagons, etc.) or loading them onto vehicles.
• Warehouse work: Moving cargo to designated zones within the warehouse and arranging it on shelves.
• Sorting: Grouping goods by type, size, or destination.
• Compliance with safety rules: Following technical safety rules and cargo characteristics (e.g., "fragile") to avoid injury when lifting heavy loads.
• Participation in inventory: Assisting with counting goods and checking stock levels.
• Use of equipment: Working with hand trucks, forklifts (if authorized), and other mechanical equipment as needed.
• Packaging: Wrapping, taping, or boxing cargo to prevent damage.

Requirements

• Grade 3-6
• Job skills examinations
• 6-day week / 52.5 hours per week
