Job Description

The Mason carries out the construction of walls, partitions, and various structural elements using bricks, blocks, stone, and other masonry materials within construction projects. The worker must carry out all tasks in accordance with project plans, technical requirements, safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out brick, block, and stone masonry in accordance with project plans and specifications
• Ensure walls, columns, partitions, and other structures are built to the correct dimensions and level
• Properly use spirit levels, strings, and measuring tools during masonry work
• Preparatory and auxiliary work:
• Ensure preparation and correct placement of materials used for masonry (brick, block, stone, mortar)
• Monitor the preparation of mortar in accordance with project requirements
• Ensure masonry surfaces are clean and tidy
• Quality control:
• Check that completed work complies with technical standards and project requirements
• Carry out corrective work when defects are found
• Maintain daily reports and documentation on completed work
• Occupational safety and discipline:
• Strictly comply with occupational health and technical safety rules
• Use personal protective equipment (helmet, gloves, protective footwear, etc.)
• Maintain cleanliness and order at the work site
• Use of tools and equipment:
• Properly and safely use masonry tools (trowel, hammer, cutting tools, etc.)
• Ensure tools and equipment are kept in good working condition
• Team collaboration:
• Work in coordination with other construction workers and foremen
• Carry out management's assignments on time and accurately
• Work in accordance with the project schedule

Requirements

• Secondary or vocational education (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of work experience as a mason
• Knowledge of brick, block, and stone masonry technologies
• Ability to read technical drawings and project plans
• Physical endurance and attentiveness
• Azerbaijani language – basic level
• Being responsible and disciplined
• Valuing quality and precision
• Ability to work in a team
• The Mason is responsible for the safe, high-quality, and project-compliant execution of work at the construction site entrusted to him.
