Scaffolder

Job Description

The Scaffolder is responsible for the installation, dismantling, and technical condition monitoring of temporary scaffolding systems to ensure work is carried out safely at construction and industrial facilities. He must carry out his work in accordance with project requirements, technical standards, and occupational health rules.

Responsibilities

• Scaffolding erection and dismantling:
• Install scaffolding systems based on project plans and technical instructions
• Assemble metal or tube-type scaffolding elements in the correct sequence
• Safely dismantle scaffolding after work is completed
• Ensure proper transport and placement of scaffolding parts
• Technical inspection and safety:
• Check the stability, strength, and safety of erected scaffolding
• Ensure the installation of protective guardrails, stairs, and safety nets on the scaffolding
• Monitor load limits and usage rules
• Immediately report situations creating safety risks to management
• Measurement and precision:
• Check scaffold height, level, and dimensions with measuring tools
• Ensure proper support points are established on soil or concrete surfaces
• Occupational safety and discipline:
• Strictly comply with occupational health, technical safety, and fire safety rules
• Use personal protective equipment (safety harness, helmet, protective footwear, etc.)
• Follow rules for working at height
• Maintain order and cleanliness at the work site
• Properly use tools and equipment used in scaffolding erection
• Check the technical condition of equipment and ensure its upkeep
• Report faulty or unusable materials to the responsible persons
• Team collaboration:
• Work in coordination with other construction workers and foremen
• Carry out management's assignments on time and correctly
• Respond promptly to changes arising during the work process

Requirements

• Requirements and Qualifications:
• Education and experience:
• • Secondary or vocational education (preferred)
• • Minimum 2 years of work experience as a scaffolder
• Knowledge and skills:
• • Knowledge of various types of scaffolding systems
• • Ability to read technical plans and diagrams
• • Physical endurance and ability to work at height
• Language skills:
• • Azerbaijani language – basic level
• • Knowledge of Russian is an advantage
• Personal qualities:
• • Being responsible and attentive
• • Strict approach to safety rules
• • Ability to work in a team
• Responsibility:
• The Scaffolder is responsible for the safe, stable, and standards-compliant construction and use of the scaffolding systems entrusted to him.
