Job Description

The Carpenter is a skilled worker responsible for preparing, installing, and repairing structural elements made of wood and wood-based materials within construction projects. He carries out his work in accordance with project drawings, technical standards, quality standards, and occupational safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry work based on project drawings and technical documents
• Prepare and install wooden formwork, structures, partitions, staircases, and other wood elements
• Assemble and dismantle wooden formwork for concrete works on the construction site
• Measurement and preparation work:
• Measure, cut, and shape materials
• Select wood materials correctly and minimize waste
• Smooth, polish, and treat surfaces with protective coatings
• Repair and restoration work:
• Repair and restore existing wooden structures
• Replace damaged or unusable parts
• Adjust doors, windows, and other wooden elements
• Quality control:
• Continuously monitor the quality of work performed
• Immediately report cases not complying with technical norms to management
• Provide daily reports on completed work
• Occupational safety and discipline:
• Strictly comply with occupational health and technical safety rules
• Use personal protective equipment (helmet, goggles, gloves, etc.)
• Maintain cleanliness and safety at the work site
• Use of tools and equipment:
• Properly and safely use hand and power tools (saw, power saw, router, drill, etc.)
• Monitor and clean the technical condition of tools
• Report malfunctions to the responsible person

Requirements

• Secondary or vocational education (carpentry preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in carpentry
• Knowledge of wood materials and carpentry technologies
• Ability to work with drawings and measurements
• Precision, attentiveness, and physical endurance
• Azerbaijani language – basic level
• Knowledge of Russian or English is an advantage
• Being responsible and disciplined
• Ability to work in a team
• Completing tasks on time and with quality
