QC Inspector

Job Description

The QC Inspector checks that the work performed, materials used, and equipment installed within the project comply with relevant standards, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements. The role holder ensures the effective execution of quality control processes and oversees that the work carried out is completed safely, reliably, and to a high standard of quality.

Responsibilities

• Quality control and inspection:
• Oversee construction, assembly, production, and installation work carried out within the project
• Check that the work performed complies with project drawings, technical specifications, and approved procedures
• Carry out incoming inspection of materials, equipment, and components
• Compliance with standards:
• Ensure work complies with national and international standards (ISO, API, ASME, etc.)
• Identify quality violations and provide recommendations for their resolution
• Prepare and track reports on non-conformances (NCR – Non-Conformance Report)
• Documentation and reporting:
• Compile daily and periodic reports on inspection and test results
• Ensure quality control documentation is maintained correctly and in full
• Prepare and archive test protocols, inspection reports, and acceptance documents
• Testing and measurements:
• Carry out required measurements and tests and record the results
• Monitor the calibration of measuring instruments
• Participate in functional tests, visual inspections, and other quality checks
• Coordination and collaboration:
• Work in coordination with engineers, technicians, and contractor representatives
• Participate in meetings related to quality issues
• Conduct joint inspections with clients or third-party inspectors when required
• Safety and compliance:
• Follow occupational health and technical safety rules
• Ensure a safe working environment is maintained during inspection processes

Requirements

• Higher or secondary specialized education in a technical field
• Minimum 2–5 years of work experience in quality control or a related field
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Experience working with measuring instruments and test methods
• Knowledge of quality standards and procedures
• Ability to prepare reports and maintain documentation
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
• The QC Inspector is responsible for the correct conduct of inspections, the accuracy of recorded data, and compliance with the project's quality standards.
