Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Agriculture Specialist with extensive experience in horticulture, gardening, and plantation management. The role involves leading research initiatives, supervising agricultural programs, and ensuring effective implementation of landscaping and pest management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Direct research and experiments to identify land use challenges and suitable plant varieties
• Develop and improve techniques for nursery operations, planting, spraying, cultivation, harvesting, storage, and transport of agricultural and horticultural products
• Provide guidance on planning and developing community landscaping and agricultural projects
• Develop programs to achieve high-quality landscaping design, effective implementation, and cost efficiency
• Train staff on modern agricultural and horticultural technologies and plant pest control methodologies
• Study soil characteristics and develop improved soil conservation and measurement techniques
• Design work programs for gardening, landscaping, and nursery personnel
• Review and advise staff performance and prepare periodic supervisory reports
• Coordinate and implement Integrated Pest Management programs
• Conduct pest surveys, collect samples, and improve plant pest control strategies
• Provide technical guidance on horticultural and agricultural pest management

Requirements

• Nationality: West & East European
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or equivalent from a recognized institution
• Experience:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in gardening, landscaping, agriculture, or equivalent
• At least 8 years of experience in horticulture, gardening, plantations, or related fields
• Technical Requirement:
• Experience in plantation and gardening operations
• Ability to supervise agricultural programs and manage staff effectively
