Insulator

Job Description

The Insulator is a specialist who covers buildings, pipelines, and industrial equipment with special materials to protect them from external influences (heat, cold, moisture, noise, and fire).

Responsibilities

• Thermal insulation: Applying mineral wool, glass wool, foam board, or polyurethane foam to building facades or pipes to prevent energy loss.
• Waterproofing: Applying bitumen layers, membranes, or liquid insulation materials to protect foundations, roofs, and basements from water.
• Pipe and tank insulation (industrial): Applying an insulation layer over hot or cold pipes and installing metal cladding over it.
• Sound insulation: Installing special panels on walls and ceilings to prevent sound transmission.
• Surface preparation: Cleaning, drying, and applying a primer layer to the surface before insulating.
• Cutting and measuring: Cutting insulation materials to size and joining them without gaps.
• Sealing: Ensuring joints are fully sealed with special tapes or adhesives.
• Main areas: Construction, shipbuilding, the oil and gas sector, and ventilation systems.
