Truck Driver

Job Description

The Truck Driver is a professional transport worker responsible for the safe and timely delivery of various goods and materials to their destination. This role requires the driver to have both high-level driving skills and technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Safe driving: Operating the vehicle in accordance with traffic rules and the cargo's characteristics (weight, volume).
• Technical check: Checking engine oil, brake system, tire condition, and lights before every trip.
• Cargo control: Ensuring cargo is properly placed in the truck bed, secured (with straps or chains), and does not tip over.
• Documentation: Keeping waybills, invoices, and other accompanying documents (e.g. CMR) in order.
• Route planning: Choosing the most efficient route to optimize fuel consumption and time.
• Minor repairs: Independently resolving simple issues that arise on the road (changing a tire, replacing a bulb, etc.).
• Maintaining the interior and exterior cleanliness of the vehicle, as well as hygiene standards for the cargo bed (if food is transported).
• Required categories: Category C (for trucks over 3,500 kg); Category C1 (for medium-tonnage trucks).
