Forklift Operator

Job Description

The Forklift Operator is a specialist trained in lifting, moving, and placing cargo on shelves using forks in warehouses, factories, and logistics centers.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading: Unloading goods from trucks or loading them, safely transporting pallets.
• In-warehouse movement: Placing cargo precisely and quickly in designated zones (shelves) within the warehouse.
• Load limit control: Not exceeding the forklift's lifting capacity and correctly calculating the load's center of gravity.
• Technical inspection: Checking the brake system, steering, hydraulic hoses, and battery at the start of each shift.
• Safe driving: Maintaining speed limits in areas where people move and using the horn at turns.
• Documentation: Checking that the quantity and type of goods transported match the invoices.
• Load stability: Ensuring pallets are properly secured so they do not fall apart.
• Key requirements: Machine operator's license (with the special equipment category); annual training in occupational health and technical safety.
