Job Description

The Instrumentation and Automation (I&C) electrical fitter is considered one of the most highly skilled technical workers in modern industrial enterprises. Unlike an ordinary electrician, this specialist works not only with lighting and power lines but also with "smart" devices and automatic control systems.

Responsibilities

• Instrument installation: Installing temperature, pressure, level, and flow sensors, as well as pneumatic and electric transducers.
• Control panels: Assembling controllers (PLCs), relays, and automation blocks, and connecting wiring.
• Calibration and adjustment: Checking the accuracy of measuring instruments, calibrating and resetting them using special equipment.
• Signal wiring: Running low-current cable lines (4-20 mA, RS-485, etc.) and shielding them against interference signals.
• Troubleshooting: Finding faults in automatic systems and repairing sensors or control circuits.
• Reading schematics: Reading complex process schematics (P&ID) and automation drawings.
• Working with software: In some cases, loading or configuring simple programs on controllers.
• These specialists mainly work in oil refining, the food industry, power plants, and automated factories.
