Concrete Worker

Job Description

The Concrete Worker is a technical worker responsible for carrying out concrete work within construction projects. He performs the processes of preparing, pouring, spreading, compacting, and finishing concrete mix in accordance with project requirements, technical standards, and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Carry out concrete work in accordance with project drawings and technical specifications
• Participate in preparing the concrete mix or ensure the correct use of ready-mix concrete
• Pour concrete into forms, spread it, and level it to the required elevation
• Ensure vibration and compaction of the concrete
• Work with formwork and reinforcement:
• Check the correct installation of formwork before pouring concrete
• Monitor the placement of reinforcement in accordance with the design
• Participate in formwork removal and ensure no damage is caused to concrete structures
• Surface finishing and protection:
• Smooth and polish concrete surfaces
• Provide proper curing care during the hardening period (watering, protective covers, etc.)
• Prevent cracks, voids, and other defects
• Quality control:
• Continuously monitor the quality of concrete work
• Immediately report to management any cases not complying with technical norms and standards
• Provide daily updates and reports on completed work
• Occupational safety and discipline:
• Strictly comply with occupational health and technical safety rules
• Properly use personal protective equipment (helmet, gloves, boots, etc.)
• Maintain cleanliness and order at the work site
• Use of tools and equipment:
• Ensure proper and safe use of concrete vibration equipment and hand tools
• Ensure tools are cleaned and stored after work is complete
• Immediately report faulty equipment to the responsible person

Requirements

• Secondary education (vocational education preferred)
• Minimum 1–3 years of work experience in concrete work
• Basic knowledge of concrete technology and construction materials
• Ability to work with drawings and measurements
• Physical endurance and ability to work outdoors
• Azerbaijani language – basic level
• Other languages are an advantage
• Personal qualities:
• Responsibility and attentiveness
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to complete work on time and with quality
• The Concrete Worker is responsible for carrying out assigned concrete work with quality, safely, and in accordance with project requirements.
