Process Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Process Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will support the design, optimization, and troubleshooting of processes in oil and gas operations, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project execution.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and optimization of process systems for oil and gas production, refining, and processing facilities
• Perform process simulations and modeling to support safe and efficient operations
• Support the development and implementation of process control strategies
• Participate in process hazard analyses and risk assessments (HAZOP, LOPA, SIL)
• Ensure process designs comply with project specifications, regulations, and industry standards
• Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams
• Prepare and review process engineering documents (P&IDs, PFDs, equipment specifications)
• Assist with commissioning and start-up of new facilities and process units
• Monitor industry trends, technologies, and best practices to support continuous improvement

Requirements

• 3–5 years of process engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• Proven experience in Concept, FEED, Detail Design, and EPC projects
• Proficiency in process simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, HTRI)
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer
• Knowledge of process control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA)
• Experience with process safety management and risk assessment methodologies
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards (API, ASME, ANSI, NFPA)
• Experience with separation processes and reactor design
• Knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines)
• Proficiency in MATLAB, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
• Understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• PE license or equivalent certification is a plus
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required
